National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech) was established in 1912. With over a century of long-standing history and experience in education, Taipei Tech has nurtured numerous technical professionals. In 2022, Innovation Frontier Institute of Research for Science and Technology (iFIRST) was established with a focus on semiconductor and AI. It brings together research capacity from industry and faculty from six professional colleges, connects existing industry research platforms, and actively expands cooperative research relationships between relevant industry-university-research institutions to establish enterprise alliances. iFIRST is committed to establishing an innovative organizational framework and regulations that enable industry participation in university governance. This includes innovation management and the provision of an industry-university platform and environment for interdisciplinary R&D cooperation, as well as high-level talent cultivation. In addition to the current Master/Doctor Program in AI and Information Security, the Master Program in Semiconductor Technology will commence in the academic year of 2024.
